When placing a forecast bet it is possible to combine a number of selections in a ‘combination forecast’ to cover every eventually for those selections. The table below details the number of forecast bets required for the given number of selections chosen.
Selections | Number of Forecasts |
|---|---|
| 1 | - |
| 2 | 2* |
| 3 | 6 |
| 4 | 12 |
| 5 | 20 |
| 6 | 30 |
| 7 | 42 |
| 8 | 56 |
| 9 | 72 |
| 10 | 90 |
| 11 | 110 |
| 12 | 132 |
If a bet is placed and any two of the selections come 1st & 2nd then the bet is a winner as you have covered all combinations.
* A combination forecast with only two selections is referred to as a ‘reverse forecast’ for betting purposes.
