Euromillions Lottery Background
EuroMillions is a transnational lottery game that was launched in 2004. It is available to players in multiple European countries and is run by a consortium of lottery operators. The game operates in a similar way to other lottery games, with players choosing a set of numbers and hoping that their numbers match those drawn in the official EuroMillions draw.
EuroMillions is known for its large jackpots, which can reach into the hundreds of millions of euros. The game also offers a range of smaller prizes for matching fewer numbers, making it an attractive option for players who don’t hit the jackpot.
The EuroMillions draw takes place twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The draw is broadcast live in participating countries and results are posted online shortly after the draw takes place.
In addition to the main EuroMillions game, there are also a number of supplementary games and promotions, such as Millionaire Maker in the UK and My Million in France, which offer additional chances to win prizes.
